This guide covers H-TECH liquid dispensers with the keypad (PLC) controller, such as our cooking oil ATMs. The controller measures liquid digitally and dispenses the amount paid for. If your keypad looks different, contact us before changing any settings.

The two passwords

PasswordWho uses itWhat it opens
Daily password (password 1)Attendant and ownerStarts the machine for selling
Owner password (password 2)Owner onlySettings: sales records, price per litre, calibration

Keep the owner password private so only you can change prices and calibration.

Switching on and logging in

  1. Switch on with the on/off button.
  2. Key in the daily password.

Making a sale

Before the first sale of the day, make sure the pipe is full of oil: do a small sale (for example KSh 30) so the pump draws the oil up to the tip, and return that oil to the tank.

  1. Press *.
  2. Key in the amount of money the customer wants to spend.
  3. Press # (OK).
  4. Place the customer's container under the nozzle.
  5. Press the push button to dispense.

Viewing sales

  1. Switch the machine off, then on.
  2. Enter the daily password.
  3. Press #.
  4. Enter the owner password.

Changing the price per litre

  1. Switch off, then on.
  2. Enter the daily password.
  3. Press #.
  4. Enter the owner password.
  5. Press * to continue.
  6. When asked to modify the unit price, press # for yes.
  7. Key in the new price of 1 litre.
  8. Press * to exit, and * again to return to the start.

Calibrating the measure

Calibrate when the amount dispensed is not exact, for example when you sell half a litre and the jug shows more or less than half a litre. It may also be needed when you change to a liquid of a different thickness.

Before you start: make sure the pipe is full of oil (dispense about KSh 30 worth and return it), and have a measuring jug under the nozzle: the machine dispenses automatically during calibration.

  1. Switch off, then on.
  2. Enter the daily password.
  3. Press #.
  4. Enter the owner password.
  5. Press * to continue.
  6. Press * to skip changing the unit price.
  7. Press # to calibrate. The machine dispenses into the jug.
  8. Read the volume in the jug in millilitres (ml).
  9. Key in that volume in ml and press # (OK).
  10. Press * to exit to the start.
  11. Switch off, then on, to apply the change.

Test with a small sale into the measuring jug. If the measure is still wrong, repeat the calibration or call us.
