Quick answer: A cooking oil ATM stores oil in a tank and dispenses the amount the customer pays for through a controlled pump or valve. H-TECH machines have warmers that keep the oil liquid so it does not block the system, a password-protected controller that stores sales records, and calibration to your selling measures so customers can buy small amounts.
Key facts
  • Sells measured amounts, so customers can buy small quantities
  • Warmers keep the oil liquid and flowing
  • Password-protected controller stores sales records
  • H-TECH cooking oil ATMs: KSh 35,000 to KSh 105,000

The main parts

PartWhat it does
Oil tankTable-top, 20, 50 or 100 litres; stainless steel, mild steel or MDF cabinet
WarmersKeep the oil liquid in cold weather so it flows and does not block the system
ControllerPassword protected; sets the price and keeps sales records
Dispensing unitReleases the measured amount into the customer's container

What happens during a sale

  1. The customer asks for an amount of money's worth of oil.
  2. The controller converts the amount to volume using your price.
  3. The machine dispenses that volume and records the sale.

Why calibration matters

Each machine is calibrated to your selling measures when it is set up, so the amount dispensed matches the amount paid. Check it from time to time by dispensing into a measuring jug; ask us to recalibrate if the measure drifts.
