Tank Stand Height and Water Pressure
Water pressure from a raised tank comes from height: about 0.1 bar for each metre above the tap. A tank 3 m above the highest tap gives about 0.3 bar, enough for basic taps but low for some showers and instant heaters. For more pressure, add a booster pump. Have an engineer or fundi design tall stands: a full 10,000-litre tank weighs about 10 tonnes.
