Water Vending Machine Problems and How to Fix Them
Pictured: H-TECH 500 LPH fully automatic RO water vending machine.
Quick answer: Most water ATM problems come from a few causes: no power or an empty tank, clogged filters, a stuck solenoid valve or float switch, an old UV lamp or RO membrane, or a payment fault. Work through the safe checks below; switch off power before opening the machine, and call a technician for electrical faults or anything under warranty.
Key facts
  • Check power, tank level and filters first
  • Low flow usually = clogged filters or low pressure
  • Rising TDS = membrane or filters due
  • Switch off power before opening the cabinet

Safety First

Switch off and unplug before opening the cabinet, never bypass the UV or filters to keep selling, and do not open electrical boxes unless you are qualified.

Prevent Problems With Routine Care

Most breakdowns are avoided by a regular schedule: water ATM maintenance checklist, RO maintenance and filter and membrane replacement costs. Valves and float switches: solenoid valve and float switch guide.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my water vending machine not dispensing?

Check power, the tank level, and the solenoid valve and float switch; if a payment registered but no water came, note the code and call support.

Why is the water flow from my water ATM low?

Usually clogged pre-filters or low inlet pressure; check filters and gauges.

Why is the TDS of my water ATM rising?

The RO membrane or filters are due for service, or a valve setting has changed.

What should I do when the UV light is off?

Stop selling drinking water until the lamp or ballast is fixed; the UV is what kills germs.

Can I repair a water vending machine myself?

You can do the safe checks here; leave electrical faults and warranty repairs to a technician.
