Quick answer: Cost per bottle = bottle, cap and label + water + overheads ÷ bottles sold. Packaging is usually the biggest cost per bottle, not the water. Profit per bottle × bottles per month gives monthly profit, and equipment cost ÷ monthly profit gives payback. Sales volume decides everything: overheads spread over more bottles.
Key facts
  • Packaging is usually the largest cost per bottle
  • Overheads ÷ bottles sold adds to each bottle
  • Payback = equipment ÷ monthly profit
  • KEBS certification is required to sell
