Quick answer: Animals drink far more water than they eat in feed, so dirty or contaminated water quickly hurts growth, milk and egg production. Keep water clean, cool and germ-free: filter out dirt, disinfect (chlorination or UV) and clean drinkers and tanks regularly. Test salty borehole water before relying on it.

Medication and Vaccines

When animals get vaccines or medicine through the water, follow the vet's instructions: chlorine can interfere with some vaccines, so dosing is often paused before and during vaccination.

Filter out dirt, disinfect with chlorine or UV, and keep drinkers and lines clean.

Can I chlorinate water when vaccinating birds?

Follow the vet; chlorine can interfere with some water-given vaccines.
