Domestic vs Commercial Sinks
Domestic inset sinks are thin and pressed to fit a kitchen counter. Commercial sinks are free-standing, deeper, made of thicker sheet and welded, built for hotels, restaurants, schools, dairies and butcheries. H-TECH builds commercial and custom sinks.
Choosing the Right Sink
- Restaurants: a double or triple bowl for wash, rinse and sanitise, with a drainboard.
- Dairies and milk bars: a deep bowl for cans and buckets, grade 304 (dairy cleaning).

- Labs and clinics: grade 304 or 316 and a splashback.
